1. Our Core Privacy Principle

At 9A Paper, privacy is engineered into our platform as a fundamental student right. We believe that school children, secondary students, and teachers should never be tracked, profiled, or forced to surrender their personal information to access national examination study materials.

You do not need to register, provide an email, or submit payment details to download question papers and marking schemes from 9A Paper.

2. Information We Collect & Why

A. Anonymous Browsing & Downloads (Unregistered Visitors)

When you visit 9A Paper and download past papers, we do not collect your name, phone number, or identity. We only record anonymous technical metrics (such as the total download counter per paper and aggregated search keywords) to understand which exam papers need higher curation and digitization priority.

B. Registered Student Accounts (For Interactive MCQ Practice)

Students who choose to register for interactive timed MCQ practice provide an email address, display name, language medium preference, and grade level. This data is used solely to maintain test attempt histories, calculate accuracy rates, manage practice credit balances, and personalize syllabus recommendations.

C. Missing Paper & Practice Requests

If you submit a request for a missing paper or request MCQ practice digitization, you may optionally provide an email address. This contact is strictly used to notify you when the requested paper has been located, verified, and published.

3. Zero Commercial Sale of Student Data

We maintain an absolute, non-negotiable policy: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share student phone numbers, email addresses, or academic performance records with tuition classes, private coaching centers, marketing agencies, or data brokers.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We use secure, minimal session cookies strictly necessary to maintain your login status, remember your preferred medium (Sinhala, Tamil, or English), and prevent malicious bot abuse or automated scraping. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Telegram Bot Privacy

When interacting with the official 9A Paper Telegram Bot, your Telegram User ID is only stored to deliver the requested PDF files and provide status notifications on papers you have subscribed to. No chats, phone numbers, or private messages outside the bot conversation are ever accessed.

6. Data Security & Right to Erasure

All account data, passwords, and practice records are encrypted and stored in secure infrastructure. Any registered student has the unconditional right to request the permanent deletion of their account and all associated test scores by submitting a request to our support desk or emailing us.
